Terms and Conditions
Spanish (Honduras) is the official version · Last updated: October 7, 2026
B.1 Who we are and the platform's role
Trouvé is a request-for-quote (RFQ) marketplace that connects buyers with independent verified sellers, presents firm quotes, and provides custody of funds and service standards. Trouvé is not the seller of the products: it acts as an intermediary that facilitates the transaction between buyer and seller. The contract for the sale of the product is entered into between the buyer and the seller; Trouvé is responsible for the platform's standards and service.
B.2 Acceptance and capacity
By using Trouvé you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be over 18 years of age and have legal capacity to contract.
B.3 Accounts and verification
- We operate primarily through WhatsApp; your number is your account identifier.
- Sellers must complete identity verification (DNI + facial verification) and be approved before quoting. We may request additional verification from buyers in higher-risk or higher-value transactions.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
B.4 Terms for buyers
- Requests: you describe what you are looking for and Trouvé routes your request to verified sellers.
- Quotes: you receive firm quotes with a defined validity period; once they expire, they may no longer be available. Every quote states the product's warranty in the form «Garantía: [who provides it], [term]», exactly as the seller declared it.
- Selection and payment: you choose a quote and pay with one of the methods in section B.4.4. Every line of the total is shown to you before you pay.
- Cancellations, returns, and claims: see sections B.6 and B.7.
- Proper use: do not abuse the service (false requests, fraud, harassment, false claims).
B.4.1 Definitions
These definitions apply to buyers and sellers throughout sections B.4 to B.7:
- Order: the products one buyer buys from one seller in one payment. Each Order has a single guía (shipping label), a single commission, and a single Compra protegida. Every minimum and limit applies per Order.
- Guía: the carrier's charge for carrying the Order on its route, at the invoiced cost, ISV (sales tax) included, with no Trouvé markup. The "outbound guía" ships the Order to the buyer; the "return guía" ships it back.
- Delivery zone: fixed when you pay. A new address requires a new payment.
- Pickup: the moment the carrier receives the package from the seller, according to the carrier's pickup record.
- Review window: 48 hours from the carrier's delivery record. The buyer may extend it once, to 72 hours, by asking within the first 48 hours.
- Business day: Monday to Friday, excluding Honduran national holidays.
- Trouvé credit (saldo a favor en Trouvé): a balance in the buyer's name that can be spent on later purchases on Trouvé, under the rules in section B.7.2.
- Outstanding debt: the amount a buyer owes Trouvé when what they paid does not cover the costs of an Order that failed because of them (section B.7.5).
B.4.2 What the buyer pays
Each Order's total is made up of these lines:
| Line | What it is |
|---|---|
| Product(s) | The firm price in the quote. |
| Compra protegida (purchase protection) | 5% of the product total, minimum L 30, maximum L 250, ISV included. It is the same on every payment method. What it covers: section B.4.3. |
| Shipping (envío) | The outbound guía for your zone, at cost. If the seller offers shipping included (envío incluido), the line reads "Incluido" and is not charged, except in the cases in section B.7. |
| Cash-on-delivery fee (cobro contra entrega) | Only if you choose to pay on delivery: what the carrier charges to collect the cash, at cost. Trouvé keeps none of it. |
- No card surcharge: the total is the same whether you pay by bank transfer or by card, in accordance with Decree 33-2013.
- Shipping included: a seller option, available only in zones where the guía is no more than 50% of the product price. If you refuse the Order or return it because you changed your mind, you bear the outbound and return guías (section B.7).
- Amounts in lempiras are rounded to the centavo; cash on delivery is rounded up to the centavo.
B.4.3 Compra protegida
Compra protegida is the Trouvé service that comes with every Order. It includes:
- Payment custody: we hold the seller's payment until the review window ends and no claim or return is open (section B.5.4).
- Case review: if you report a problem within the review window, we review both parties' evidence under the process in section B.7.8.
- A return or refund where these Terms provide for one, which means only in the cases below.
Cases that give rise to a return or refund:
- Seller fault: refund of everything paid (section B.7.6).
- Loss or damage in transit: refund of everything paid (section B.7.7).
- Cancellation before Pickup: everything paid becomes Trouvé credit (section B.7.1).
- Approved change of mind, or failed delivery caused by you: refund of the product price less the guías, under sections B.7.3 and B.7.4.
- Duplicate payments, overpayments, and payments received after the quote expired: refunded in full (section B.6.3).
Compra protegida does not replace the statutory warranty on the product or the warranty stated in the quote. When the review window ends, payment custody ends; the warranty does not. Later warranty claims go to whoever provides the warranty under the quote, and we are glad to point you in the right direction.
Compra protegida is refunded when the Order fails because of the seller or the carrier, and becomes Trouvé credit if you cancel before Pickup. In every other case, once paid, it is not refunded.
B.4.4 Payment methods
- Bank transfer: from a bank account in the buyer's name. No additional cost.
- Card: no surcharge. 3-D Secure authentication is required. You may pay by card up to L 8,000 of product per Order and up to L 8,000 of product per buyer in any 7-day period. For security reasons, Trouvé may lower this limit temporarily; the limit in force is shown before you pay.
- Trouvé credit: applied before any other method, and it can cover the cash-on-delivery advance (section B.7.2).
Cash on delivery (COD):
- Requires an advance equal to one guía (anticipo), paid by bank transfer from an account in the buyer's name, with a verified phone number. With shipping included, the advance counts toward the price.
- On delivery, you pay the rest in cash, up to L 4,000. If the rest exceeds that amount, the excess is added to the advance.
- Where our risk controls require it, we may ask for a larger advance on first cash-on-delivery Orders. The amount is shown before you pay.
- At the door, you accept or refuse the whole Order.
- Not available while you have an outstanding debt (section B.7.5).
B.4.5 Minimum Order
The minimum Order is L 200 of product from the same seller, on every payment method. You may combine products from any of that seller's categories. Trouvé credit does not count toward the minimum.
B.5 Terms for sellers
- Registration and approval: registration, identity verification (DNI + facial), and prior approval.
- Authenticity and legality: offering counterfeit, stolen, or illegal products is prohibited. You guarantee the authenticity and legality of what you offer.
- Accuracy: your quotes, photos, prices, and description of the product's condition must be truthful.
- Invoicing: if you are required to, you must issue an invoice and keep your RTN and legal name (razón social) up to date.
- No contact leakage: you must not divert the transaction off the platform or share contact details to circumvent Trouvé. These behaviors are detected, recorded as evidence, and sanctioned.
- Compliance: you must meet dispatch and delivery standards.
B.5.1 Commission
- For every completed Order, Trouvé charges a commission of 8% of the product total, minimum L 30, maximum L 400, ISV included. It is deducted from your payout and is the same on every plan.
- Qualifying Orders: on a repeat Order (the same buyer, on the same verified phone, kept an Order delivered by you in the previous 90 days) and on every Order from a seller on Tarifa Fundador (section B.5.7), the commission is 8% up to L 812.50 of product, L 65 from L 812.50 to L 1,000, and 6.5% from L 1,000, with the same L 30 minimum and L 400 maximum. Discounts never stack.
- No commission is charged when the buyer cancels, refuses, or returns the Order through no fault of yours. If the Order fails because of you, it is charged (section B.5.3).
- On a partial return, the commission is recalculated on the product the buyer keeps.
B.5.2 Shipping included
- You may offer shipping included on all or some of your products. It applies only in zones where the guía is no more than 50% of the product price; in other zones, the buyer pays the guía.
- With shipping included, the outbound guía is deducted from your payout. If the buyer refuses the Order or returns it after a change of mind, you do not pay that guía.
- The Pro and Plus plans carry a discount on these guías (section B.5.7). The discount applies to no other charge.
B.5.3 Deposit and seller-fault charges
- Deposit: before your first shipment, we ask for a refundable deposit of L 200, with no exceptions. It is used first to cover charges for your faults and is topped up from your next payout.
- Seller fault: a wrong item, an item not as described, a counterfeit, an item dead on arrival, an Order not shipped, or an Order that fails inspection. In those cases we refund the buyer in full and charge you: the guías used, the cash-on-delivery fee or the card processing cost, the cost of the refund transfer, and the Order's commission, with no plan discount.
- Set-off: you authorize Trouvé to deduct these charges, in this order, from your deposit, from your later payouts, and from your in-app balance. Each charge is itemized in your statement.
- Unpaid charges: a charge left unpaid for more than 7 days blocks you from quoting until it is covered. After 90 days, Trouvé will close the account and may write the charge off as uncollectible.
- Buyer change of mind: you get the product back at no cost and no commission is charged. You have 48 hours from the return's delivery to inspect it and report any difference; if you report none, the return is deemed accepted.
B.5.4 Seller payouts
- Your payout for each Order (the product total less the commission and, with shipping included, less the guía after any plan discount) is released when all of these hold: the buyer's payment is collected (on cash on delivery, once the carrier remits the cash), your identity is verified, the review window has ended, no claim or return is open, and the payout date has arrived.
- Payout date: 5 business days after delivery. If you have rank 65 or higher, at least 10 completed Orders from 3 different buyers unrelated to each other and to you, at least 90 days on Trouvé, and no pending charge, we pay you when the review window ends, up to L 10,000 of released payouts still inside a claim window; above that amount, the 5-business-day date applies. This depends on your track record, never on your plan.
- Open claims: an open claim or return holds that Order's payout until it is resolved.
- Automatic deposit: if your account is at BAC Credomatic, Banpaís, Ficohsa, Banco Atlántida, Banrural, or Promerica, we deposit every payout into it at no cost. On your bank statement, the deposit appears under the name PRIVE S DE RL.
- Other banks: every payout is credited to your in-app balance, and you withdraw whenever you like. Withdrawals of L 2,000 or more are free. Withdrawals of less than L 2,000 cost L 40, shown to you before you confirm.
- Idle balance: a balance with no activity for 90 days is paid out to you at Trouvé's cost.
- Account closure: we pay out your balance and your deposit 30 days after your last delivery, less any pending charges.
- Loss in transit: if the carrier loses an Order you shipped correctly, you receive your payout (product less commission) on the usual schedule, counted from the carrier's confirmation of the loss or from 10 business days after the expected delivery with no tracking record. This requires complete packing evidence and a pickup weight within 15% of the declared weight. If those conditions are not met, or if it is your second loss within 90 days, the payout waits for the carrier's finding.
B.5.5 Packing evidence
- Before handing each Order to the carrier, you must photograph the product and the closed box with the order number visible. Depending on the product, include the serial number or IMEI, the brand and model label, the size, the expiry date or lot, and the intact seal if the product comes sealed. Every unit quoted must appear in the photos. A short video is optional.
- Without this evidence, the Order cannot be marked as shipped.
- Consequence: if the evidence is missing, a claim for a wrong item, an item not as described, missing items, or poor packing is decided in the buyer's favor.
B.5.6 Categories and permitted products
- Only new products may be sold. Used goods are not accepted.
- Replicas are not accepted, nor are imitations, "tipo original" products, or generic or "compatible" products presented as branded.
- To quote a brand in categories that require it, you must first share your invoice or the distributor's letter.
- Every quote must state the warranty in the form «Garantía: [who provides it], [term]». It is shown to the buyer exactly as you write it, and you are bound by it.
- Perfume and fragrance of any kind are never sold.
- Trouvé opens categories gradually and may require additional controls per category (photos, serial number, expiry date, IMEI check).
B.5.7 Plans
| Plan | Monthly price, ISV included |
|---|---|
| Gratis | L 0 |
| Pro | L 500 |
| Plus | L 1,500, by invitation |
| Pro Fundador | L 250 for 2 months, one per DNI or RTN; then Pro or Gratis |
- Benefits: Pro, Plus, and Pro Fundador let you see new requests 5 minutes early to prepare your quote (quoting opens at the same moment for everyone) and handle 3 more requests at a time. Pro carries a 10% discount on shipping-included guías, up to L 200 of discount a month; Plus carries 20%, up to L 600 a month, plus automatic quoting under your own rules (up to L 250 a month of assistant usage) and bulk import. Every automatic quote is a firm price, and you remain responsible for it.
- Tarifa Fundador: not a plan but a reduced commission (section B.5.1). It applies if your account is approved within the first 90 days after launch and, within 90 days of your approval, you deliver Orders to 3 different buyers unrelated to you, in at least 2 municipalities. It runs from your next Order until 12 months after your approval and cannot be transferred.
- Billing: plans are prepaid in 30-day periods. We never charge automatically. If you upgrade, we credit the unused days. If you cancel or downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of the period, with no refund. If you do not renew, your account returns to Gratis.
- What no plan buys: position in the quote order, rank, badges, verification, payout speed, free transfers, relief from fault charges, priority in claims, or contact with buyers.
B.6 Payments, custody, cash on delivery, and shipping
B.6.1 Custody
Trouvé may hold funds in custody as a facilitator of payment between the parties; it is not a bank or a regulated financial institution. Funds are received into accounts in the name of PRIVE S DE RL, the operator of Trouvé, and are released to the seller, refunded to the buyer, or credited as Trouvé credit under these Terms.
B.6.2 Who pays when an Order is not completed
- On a normal Order, the buyer pays the guía at cost and Trouvé passes it to the carrier.
- The buyer pays the cash-on-delivery fee at cost; Trouvé keeps none of it.
- When an Order fails, whoever caused the failure pays for it. The cause is decided on the evidence, under section B.7.8.
B.6.3 Refunds
- Card payments are refunded by reversal to the same card. Everything else is refunded by transfer to an account in the buyer's name.
- We process each refund within 5 business days of the case being resolved. How long it takes to appear in your account depends on your bank.
- Trouvé bears the cost of the refund transfer, except when the Order failed because of the seller, in which case the seller bears it.
- If you paid part of an Order with Trouvé credit, each part goes back the way it was paid: the credit part returns as credit, with its original expiry date, and never as cash.
- Before refunding, we deduct any outstanding debt in the same buyer's name.
- Duplicate payments, overpayments, and payments received after the quote expired are refunded in full.
B.6.4 Chargebacks
If a card payment is disputed with the issuing bank (a chargeback), the cost falls on the party that would have lost an equivalent claim under section B.7.8. Trouvé submits the Order's evidence to the bank. If the chargeback stems from a seller fault, it is charged to the seller as a fault charge (section B.5.3). If the disputed payment had become Trouvé credit, the unused credit is cancelled and any part already spent becomes an outstanding debt.
B.7 Cancellations, returns, and disputes
B.7.1 Cancellation before Pickup
You may cancel your Order as long as the seller has not yet handed it to the carrier. Everything you paid (on cash on delivery, the advance) becomes Trouvé credit in full, with no deductions or fees. This credit is not refunded in cash.
B.7.2 Trouvé credit
- It is held in the buyer's name, valid for 12 months from issue, not transferable, and never paid out in cash.
- Order of use: it first covers any outstanding debt; it is then applied before any other payment on your next Order. It can cover the whole total, including the cash-on-delivery advance.
- It does not count toward the L 200 product minimum.
- We send reminders 60 and 14 days before it expires. Credit not used within 12 months expires and can no longer be used.
- If an Order paid partly with credit is refunded, in whole or in part, the credit part returns as credit, with its original expiry date.
B.7.3 Failures caused by the buyer after Pickup
If an Order fails after Pickup because of the buyer (refusal at the door, a failed delivery because the buyer could not be reached or the address was wrong, refusal of a prepaid Order, a change of mind, or a claim where no fault is shown), the buyer bears:
- the guías used (outbound and return), at cost, plus any carrier charge for another delivery attempt;
- the Compra protegida and the cash-on-delivery fee, only if already paid. Anything not yet paid is never charged.
If what you paid exceeds those costs, we refund the difference. On a prepaid Order, that comes to the product price less the return guía and any re-delivery charges (with shipping included, the outbound guía is deducted as well). On a cash-on-delivery refusal, both guías are deducted from your advance; if the advance does not cover them, the difference becomes an outstanding debt.
B.7.4 Change of mind
- You may request a change-of-mind return within the review window, with the product unused, complete, in its original packaging, and with seals and tags intact.
- The return must ship on a Trouvé return guía within 5 days of approval; otherwise, the request lapses.
- Not eligible: opened beauty products; unsealed phones, audio, and appliances; and any product whose factory seal proves it is new, once that seal is broken.
- Offered only when the resulting refund is positive.
- Available up to 2 times in any 180-day period.
- Refund: the product price less the return guía; with shipping included, also less the outbound guía. The Compra protegida, any outbound guía you paid, and the cash-on-delivery fee are not refunded. On a partial return, we refund the returned product less the return guía.
- We inspect the returned product against the seller's packing photos before refunding.
B.7.5 Outstanding debt
- It arises when what you paid does not cover the costs of an Order that failed because of you; for example, a cash-on-delivery refusal whose advance does not cover both guías.
- It is linked to your phone number, the name on the paying account, your address, and your device.
- While it exists, you cannot pay on delivery; you can still pay by transfer or by card. It is deducted from any later refund or Trouvé credit.
- Once an outstanding debt exists, we may ask for your DNI; on a second refusal, it is required.
B.7.6 Seller faults
If the Order fails because of the seller (a wrong item, an item not as described, a counterfeit, an item dead on arrival, an Order not shipped, or an Order that fails inspection), the buyer gets back everything paid: product, Compra protegida, guías, and cash-on-delivery fee. The seller bears the costs (section B.5.3). On a partial fault, the buyer gets back the affected product and the corresponding difference in Compra protegida.
B.7.7 Loss or damage in transit
If the carrier loses the Order or damages it (with the evidence described in section B.7.8), the buyer gets back everything paid. Trouvé handles the claim with the carrier; the damaged product becomes Trouvé's property.
B.7.8 Review window and claims
- Buyer report: within the review window, stating the reason (wrong item, not as described, dead on arrival, damaged in transit, or incomplete). Photos of the product and packaging are due within 24 hours of the report (a short video if it does not turn on). A claim with no evidence is closed.
- Transit damage: outer-box damage counts only if it was noted at delivery or is reported within 24 hours of delivery. A missing item requires photos of the opened box and its label within 24 hours.
- Seller response: the seller has 24 hours to accept, offer a replacement (at the seller's cost for the guías), or share evidence. Silence in the face of complete buyer evidence counts as seller fault.
- Decision: clear cases are settled by these rules; Trouvé decides the rest on both parties' evidence (messages, packing photos, carrier records, weights, and Order statuses) within 72 hours of complete evidence and no later than 21 days after the claim is filed. Orders of L 5,000 or more and possible counterfeit cases are reviewed by two people.
- Return before refund: when the product must be returned, we check it against the packing photos. If it does not match (a different serial number, used, or damaged), it counts as buyer fault.
- Unclear cases: if the cause cannot be determined, the Order is settled as a buyer-caused failure, but Trouvé pays the return guía and neither party's rank is affected. A party's third unclear case within 180 days is decided against that party.
- False claims: consequences escalate. The first suspends change-of-mind returns for 180 days; the second limits payment to bank transfer; the third restricts the account.
- Appeal: each party may appeal once, within 5 days of the decision, with new evidence only. A different reviewer decides it.
When the review window ends with no report, the Order is recorded as accepted. This does not speed up the seller's payout, which remains subject to section B.5.4, and it does not affect the product warranty (section B.4.3).
B.8 Trust and safety
To protect the community we use: moderation evidence, blocklists, a reputation/ranking system that conditions seller access, and sanctions for fraud or contact leakage, which may include the suspension or removal of the account.
B.9 Prohibited conduct
The following are prohibited: fraud and impersonation; counterfeit, stolen, or illegal products; harassment; circumventing the platform or its verifications; manipulating prices or reviews; and any use contrary to the law or to these Terms.
B.10 Intellectual property
The Trouvé brand, the site, and the platform's own content are ours or Privé's. Content uploaded by sellers (photos, descriptions) remains theirs, but they grant us a license to display it and operate the service.
B.11 Limitation of liability
Trouvé facilitates the connection between buyers and sellers and is responsible for the platform's standards and service. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits, nor do we guarantee uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms limits liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
B.12 Availability, changes, and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and update these Terms; we will publish the current version with its date. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
B.13 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Honduras. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Honduras, without prejudice to the rights granted to consumers by law. For other countries, see the corresponding annex (not applicable until Trouvé operates in them).
Country annexes
- Honduras (active): controller and forum per this section.
- Future expansion (CA/LATAM): a per-country annex will be added with the local controller, applicable law, and forum before commencing operations there.
